Strong offshore investments
France is one of Europe’s largest markets for wind energy and is now truly embarking on the offshore wind journey with large tenders planned for 2024 and 2025 – including a mega-tender of around 10 GW and 2 GW to be tendered per year after 2025. The overall target for France is 18 GW of installed capacity by 2035 and at least 45 GW by 2050.
This means significant new business opportunities for the wind industry – both in the short run and sustained over a longer time span.
