Danish Energy Export, in collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy in the UK, invites you to a 2-day delegation to the east coast of England - Hull & Grimsby region, home to the largest players in offshore wind.
The UK currently has around 15 GW of installed offshore wind capacity. However, the UK aims to significantly expand this to 55 GW by 2030 – consequently there are significant market opportunities both in terms of new projects in development and for O&M.
During this trip, you will receive updates on the latest offshore wind developments and learn about upcoming projects. You will have the opportunity to engage in dialogues with developers, suppliers, authorities, and port operators, all of whom are at the forefront of offshore wind technology. Based on feedback from previous participants, we are planning visits to specific companies as part of the delegation.
The delegation visit focuses on opportunities along the aast coast of England as well as the wider North Sea.
The visit includes:
· Meeting with selected offshore wind developers for updates on projects and pipeline. RWE, Equinor, SSE, Vårgrønn (TBC)
· Open conference on maximising offshore wind development in the North Sea, followed by a networking reception with the local supply chain: Van oord, GE, Siemens, JDR Cables, ABP (TBC)
· Supply chain and market opportunities update with Crown Estate
· Site visit to Port of Grimsby (TBC)
