Delegation tour with focus on offshore wind in Scotland
Danish Energy Export together with the Royal Embassy of Denmark in UK invites you to a 2-day delegation tour in Scotland, where you get the opportunity to be updated on current offshore wind development and be introduced to upcoming projects.
The aim of the delegation is to meet Scottish and international developers, key stakeholders and networking with Scottish companies focusing on establishment of the internal value chain within offshore wind in Scotland. If you want to expand your knowledge of offshore in the region, “Wind Energy trade show 2024” in Dublin takes place November 7th.
The Scottish offshore marked
Scotland has several offshore wind projects in various stages of development. One notable project is the Seagreen Wind Farm, located off the coast of Angus. This is set to be one of the world's largest offshore wind farms, with a capacity of over 1,000 megawatts. The Scottish Government has set ambitious targets for renewable energy, including offshore wind. There are plans to significantly increase offshore wind capacity in the coming years, with targets of generating 11 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind energy by 2030 (MW).

- Vårgreen AB and Blue Float Energy who have projects within INTOG. INTOG supports small scale innovation projects specific targeted for the offshore wind farms
- SSE Renewables are developing the Seagreen Wind Farm, one of the largest offshore wind projects in Scotland, located off the Angus coast
- Copenhagen Infra Structure (CIP), developer and owner of Pentland Floating offshore Wind Farm
- Network meeting with members from the Scottish offshore wind cluster Forth & Tay Offshore (FTO). Speed dating and opportunity to network over refreshments
- Representatives from Port of Cromarty Firth or Wick Harbour from the east coast of Scotland and leading hubs for offshore renewable energy projects
