Since 2024, we have led the Danish Pavilion at Europe’s leading hydrogen and carbon capture expo, closely following strategic developments that create concrete opportunities for Danish businesses. The German government has implemented a national hydrogen strategy and an import strategy, driving a significant increase in demand – by 2030, Germany is expected to need 95–130 TWh of hydrogen, with 50–70% to be imported. With a target of at least 10 GW of electrolysis capacity, this creates major opportunities for technology providers, consultants, and infrastructure solutions.
At the same time, Germany has opened the door for CO₂ capture, transport, and offshore storage through the new Carbon Storage Act, creating a strong demand for technological solutions, project management, and regulatory expertise – areas where Danish companies have a competitive edge.
