Danish Energy Export, in collaboration with Green Power Denmark and Danish Export Association, invites you to the Energy Export Networking Day 2025!
This year’s focus is on two of Denmark’s key export markets in the energy sector: the UK and the USA. These markets are undergoing significant changes. In the UK, a new national energy company, Great British Energy, is being established, and in the USA, a new president has just been elected. How will these changes impact the opportunities for your business?
Gain valuable insights from two experts who will dive into the current market outlook and share their assessments of what you, as an exporter of energy solutions and services, can expect.
Our experts are:
From the UK Dan McGrail, Chief Executive at RenewableUK. Previously he was the CEO of Siemens Engines. He joined Siemens UK in 2004 and has worked in a variety of roles across the energy industry. Between 2010 and 2014 he led Siemens plans to develop and invest in offshore wind turbine manufacturing in the UK, securing the world-class offshore wind turbine blade factory and port facility in Hull, negotiating with the UK government and overseeing one of the company’s most significant factory investments in its recent history. As Managing Director of Siemens Power Generation from 2014-2017, he expanded Siemens UK’s activities in the thermal power mark
From the US Rufus Gifford an American politician, and diplomat, who has served as Finance Chair of the Harris 2024 presidential campaign since July 2024. He was the chief of protocol of the United States from 2022 to 2023. Between 2013 and 2017, he was the United States Ambassador to Denmark. In 2012, Gifford was Finance Director for Barack Obama's presidential re-election campaign. Once re-elected, Obama nominated him to be the United States Ambassador to Denmark, a post he held until the end of Obama's presidency.
